This report is part of T2RL's series of updates on the progress of modernising airline sales and fulfilment technology. The focus has been on IATA's New Distribution Capability (NDC) and ONE Order initiatives, but recently there has been a greater emphasis on the more fundamental realignment of commercial processes in line with OOSD or Modern Airline Retailing. This edition reflects developments up to August 2025.

Since our last report activity continues on both distribution (NDC) and on moves towards the adoption of OOSD. Amadeus has announced that two of its airline customers for Nevio have begun to use it in production while Hitit and Pegasus Airlines have said that the Oxygen Offer and Order systems has been in production for some time.

After several years of slow progress, the Global Distribution Systems (GDSs) and their major airline customers have accelerated the adoption of NDC as a mainstream offering alongside traditional distribution methods using EDIFACT and AIRIMP messaging. At the time of writing there are 210 contracts between airlines and GDSs to use the NDC standard and 124 of them have been implemented. Overall NDC bookings in 2023 were around 145 million but this is expected to be substantially higher once the 2024 numbers are in.
